On November 10th, Associate Professor David Taylor, from the Faculty of Global Engagement, delivered an invited Zoom lecture to students and alumni at the School of Hospitality and Tourism at the Universidad de las Americas (UDLA) in Quito, Ecuador.
The interactive lecture was entitled “The Marketing-Leadership Interface Across Cultures: Unexpected Events, Connectedness and You.”
Dr. Taylor’s lecture was sponsored by a grant awarded to the UDLA – the first university in Latin America to receive a Eurasia foundation grant – and part of a larger course on “Asian Philosophy of Quality and Competitiveness in the Hospitality Industry.”
His presentation included an active learning exercise whereby participants were challenged to think about and start developing their own unique leadership brand.
