For three days from Friday, June 27 to Sunday, June 29, Kyoto University of Foreign Studies (KUFS) hosted the 16th Japan University English Model United Nations (JUEMUN 2025). More than 180 students took part, representing 15 universities all over the world, including Japan, Canada, and the United States. Enthusiastic discussions and debates centered on tourism for a more sustainable future from an international perspective.
Participating students used their impressively high-level English communication skills and critical thinking abilities to brainstorm solutions to complex, international problems based on diverse viewpoints.
JUEMUN 2025 proved to be a valuable opportunity for young people who will lead the coming generations to pursue international cooperation and deepen international understanding, toward realizing a more sustainable society.
