こんにちは、グローバル観光学科2年次生の関戸友香です。今回はグローバル観光学科に所属されている村山弘太郎先生にお話を伺いました。

日本のいろいろなところに旅行してたくさん日本を見てまわる

このようにお答えいただきました。2の学生のうちにしておいたほうがいいことについては、外国語大学の学生は日本よりも海外旅行に目を向けがちですが、海外よりも先に日本をより知らなければならないと思いました。また、4の好きな言葉については、「ご縁」はとても京都らしく、地域や老舗、お祭りなどのつながりはこの「ご縁」というものが中心になっているのではないかと考えました。これから村山先生に伺ったお話を忘れずに今後の学生生活を送っていきたいです。


Hello,I am Tomoka SEKIDO,　a sophomore in Global Tourism Studies Department. Today,I interviewed with Prof. Kotaro Murayama from our department.

Japanese history, especially Edo period



2. The thing students should do during college years

Travel around Japan and look around a lot of places in Japan



3. Favorite food

He has no special food preference, but likes beer.



4. Favorite word

"Goenn," or relation or connection (There is no adequate English word for “goenn”)



5. Hometown

Kyoto city


I was able to get these answers. About the things students should do, Gaidai students tend to look toward foreign countries. However, as Prof. Murayama says, I think we should look toward Japan before foreign countries. Also, about his favorite word, the word “goenn”seems very Kyoto-like, and I think the idea of "goenn" is very important in the community of Kyoto with old stores and festivals. I would like to spend my student life remembering what Prof. Murayama told me through this interview.
