An Open Campus event "Weekday Campus Visit" centered on mock classes was held. The event is a “career discovery program for high school students” jointly hosted by the private sector and the University. It is aimed for high school students to participate in college classes with current students and gain some insight into a daily life a college student.

A total of 52 high school students in their first, second, and third year participated in the event and spent the day as a KUFS student. Most of the participants met each other for the first time and seemed nervous to be in an unfamiliar environment of an actual university. Fortunately, ice breaker activities and working in pairs and groups helped them to open up with one another and by the time the guidance session ended, the students had smiles on their faces as they moved from classroom to classroom.

Before the event ended, the participants reflected on their day and shared their thoughts in groups. The high school students seemed to get a realistic idea of student life at KUFS, saying, “I was glad to be able to directly experience the university’s atmosphere that we can’t otherwise do in usual open campus events”, “I felt that pursuing higher education greatly depends on your motivation to study” and "I was able to get valuable advice from the seniors."
