These are the first lines of a poem written by the renowned Japanese poet Kotaro Takamura, from his book of poems titled The Itinerary. The phrases suggest that our roads must be created by our own efforts, and that every process along the way merges into a single road called life. The words inspire us to take charge of our own lives, although the kind of life we may lead would depend on the decisions and efforts made at each and every moment.
