Professor Akihito Ito of the Faculty of Foreign Studies’ Department of Brazilian and Portuguese Studies’ Japanese translation of Estação Carandiru by Drauzio Varella is one of the 15 nominated works from the second round of the 8th Best Translation Award. The list will be narrowed down to five for the final selection round and announced in late-March.
