Firstly, we wish to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to all students, parents and guardians who have cooperated with KUFS and the measures that we have implemented to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) at KUFS.
As the number of confirmed cases has continued to climb, the governors of the prefectures of Kyoto, Osaka and Hyogo asked the government to expand the State of Emergency on January 9th, 2021.
Based on our protocols which were updated on December 24th, 2020, our Alert Level shall be raised from Level 2 (Exercise Increased Caution) to Level 3 (Heightened Precautions) from the day of declaration, and the following measures shall apply therein, in case that the State of Emergency is declared.
1. Classes and Educational Activities
All classes are to be distance learning ONLY, all teaching shall be conducted ONLINE. And all off-campus educational activities are prohibited.
2. Students on Campus
All students are prohibited from coming onto the KUFS Campus. Moreover, all in-person interaction with the offices shall cease, with all communication with the offices carried out over email or the telephone. Details as follows:
・Until January 27th, 2021 (final day of the Fall Semester)
Normal office hours shall apply (Click here for details.)
・From January 28th, 2021
Office hours: 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 5pm
*Please note that the offices are unavailable on Sundays, National Holidays, and during the University Entrance Examination period of February 3rd-6th, 2021.
3. Extracurricular Activities
All extracurricular activities are prohibited.

For Students:
Please strive to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection by avoiding going out unnecessarily and long feasts in large groups.
For Parents and Guardians:
We continue to ask for your understanding and cooperation as we try to navigate these challenging times.
Please be aware that aforementioned measures may change depending on the situation of infection spread. Be sure to check the KUFS website regularly for updates.
