As a State of Emergency has been declared, the Alert Level for Kyoto University of Foreign Studies and Kyoto Junior College of Foreign Languages shall change from Level 2 to Level 3.
As the number of confirmed cases has continued to climb, declaration of a state of emergency for Kyoto, Osaka and Hyogo has been decided on Friday, April 23rd, 2021.
Based on our protocols which were updated on March 1st, 2021, our Alert Level shall be raised from Level 2 (Exercise Increased Caution) to Level 3 (Heightened Precautions) from Sunday, April 25th, and the following measures shall apply therein.
Depending on the policy of the national government going forward, in addition to social trends – especially regarding how other universities decide to act – please be aware that issues are to be managed will be subject to change. Be sure to check the KUFS website regularly for updates.
