In case that the State of Emergency is declared, the Alert Level for Kyoto University of Foreign Studies and Kyoto Junior College of Foreign Languages shall change from Level 3 to Level 2.

As you may be aware, the prefectural governments of Kyoto, Osaka and Hyogo rescinded the State of Emergency Declaration on March 1st, 2021.

In accordance with this announcement, based on our protocols which were updated on December 24th, 2020, our Alert Level shall be lowered from Level 3 (Heightened Precautions) to Level 2 (Exercise Increased Caution) as of March 1st, 2021.

Depending on the policy of the national government going forward, in addition to social trends – especially regarding how other universities decide to act – please be aware that issues such as how students, classes, and educational and extracurricular activities on campus are to be managed will be subject to change. Be sure to check the KUFS website regularly for updates.
