The Mini Open Campus was held at the Morita Memorial Hall on Sunday, April 24th. The event was held both in-person and online via livestreaming, garnering over 450 high school students and guests.
The event began with an introduction on the University and Junior College, followed by an information session on the new exam system. Then, a general summary of KUFS, KUFS’s unique approaches to learning, and new information on the AY 2023 entrance exams were explained in an interactive quiz form, where in-person attendees could participate with their smartphones.
Professor Makoto Kurata of the Faculty of Foreign Studies' Department of British and American Studies and Associate Professor Takaaki Miyaguchi of the Faculty of Global Engagement's Global Studies each gave a 30-minute mini-lecture to the participants.
Additionally, individual consultations with staffs were available to ask about studying abroad, job searching and entrance exams. A campus tour was also conducted via InstaLive. Many participants seemed to be satisfied with Mini Open Campus, as surveys included comments such as “The interactive quiz on KUFS and entrace exams was really fun,” “The mini-lectures were easy to understand,” and “The student staffs were so kind.”
