On Tuesday, September 3rd, stationery and backpacks donated from the Honorary Consulate-General of Nicaragua in Kyoto in March 2019 were presented to first and second-grade students of Centro Educativo Timoteo Baca in Chinandega, Republic of Nicaragua, and Dr. Yoshikazu Morita, Chancellor and Chair of the Board of Governors of KUFS and the Nicaraguan Honorary Consul-General, received a letter of appreciation from Ms. Miriam Soledad Ráudez Rodriguez, Minister of Education of the Republic of Nicaragua.

The donation was made with the cooperation of Uchida Yoko Co., Ltd., and Nakabayashi Co., Ltd. Mr. Hajime Tsujimura, Chairman and CEO of Nakabayashi Co., Ltd., a graduate of the Faculty of Foreign Studies’ Department of Hispanic Studies, has responded to a call for cooperation made by Dr. Yoshikazu Morita, and kindly agreed to play a part as a KUFS graduate.
