Over 700 high school students and their guardians from across the country participated in the last open campus event of this academic year.
The opening program kicked off the event with a video clip that introduces our faculties and departments, followed by a greeting by President Ono. Then, A Zoom conference was held with a current student studying abroad in the U.S., who answered questions on why they decided to study abroad and their prospects on academic pursuit now that they have studied abroad. One high school student commented, “I feel more motivated to study harder on my language learning!” Furthermore, a university staff and KUFS graduate gave a fully participatory quiz on student life that led the participants to learn deeper about KUFS.
Various other sessions were offered, including introductions and mock classes by each faculty and department, an entrance exams information session, Campus Tour by the student staffs, and the KUFS method of learning English that teaches how to improve your listening skills.
The participant survey included comments that showed how the event has successfully shown our university’s appealing features, as they said, “I had worries but I was relieved to hear the voices of my seniors” and “the mock classes were easy to understand!”
