The prefectural governments of Kyoto, Osaka and Hyogo have extended the State of Emergency and in accordance with this decision and as part of our measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus, the Alert Level at KUFS remains at Level 3 for the time being.

We ask all students of Kyoto University of Foreign Studies and Kyoto Junior College of Foreign Languages to continue to refrain from all non-urgent and unnec-essary outings, and to avoid the 5 situations where infection risks are at their highest, namely: eating and drinking at social gatherings, eating and drinking with large numbers of people for extended periods of time, holding conversations without wearing masks, sharing time with people in confined areas, moving from one gathering to the next. We ask that you make every effort to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), including practicing good hygiene regarding hand washing and mask use, and ensuring that wherever you are is well ventilated.

We will continue to post updates on the Alert Level on the official KUFS website, so we ask that you regularly check the website for updates.
