While the air was still cold, participants of the AY2022 (Reiwa) entrance ceremony held at the Morita Memorial Hall was blessed with warm sunshine on April 1st.
A total of approximately 1,200 students enrolled this academic year in the Graduate School, University and Junior College.. Divided into morning and afternoon sessions, only new students were allowed to attend the in-person ceremony to prevent the possible spread of the coronavirus, while guests watched a livestream of the ceremony in a different room.
New students listened intently to President Takeshi Matsuda as he delivered his ceremonial address: “KUFS fosters globally minded individuals based on three pillars of education: ‘Acquiring foreign language skills’ ‘Studying a wide range of academic fields’ and ‘Community engagement’. By putting these three pillars into practice, we hope that you will gradually become active participants to bring positive change in the world. Our university offers various support for students who are eager to help build world peace.”
New students, congratulations on your admission! We wish you the best in leading an amazing student life during your years at KUFS.
