Professor Michael Heazle of the Faculty of Foreign Studies’ Department of British and American Studies wrote a blog post for The Strategist, a commentary and analysis site of the Australian Strategic Policy Institute.
In his article, Professor Heazle points out the problems surrounding the Abe administration’s response to the COVID-19 crisis in Japan. He warns that due to the failure of implementing structural reforms, Japan will not only face a challenging economic recovery, but also may have to limit foreign and defense policy options.
