To All Students and Parents/Guardians
Please accept our very best wishes as this year draws to a close. Here at Kyoto University of Foreign Studies and Kyoto Junior College of Foreign Languages, during this year of COVID-19, we wish to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation for the understanding and cooperation that you have extended to us regarding all the measures that we have had to take in response to the pandemic.
Looking forward, we would like to inform you of our policies as they currently stand regarding classes and teaching for the spring semester in AY 2021.
For classes in the spring semester of AY 2021 – along with the thorough implementation of measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) – the classes will in principle be held in face-to-face on campus.
However, please note that for classes where there are many students, or for classes where it is apparent that online teaching will be more educationally effective, in these instances we have decided that some classes may be conducted remotely.
Furthermore, for students with valid reasons as to why they cannot attend face-to face classes on campus, such as underlying conditions, we will make arrangements to accommodate these students accordingly.
Further details will be posted to the University homepage as and when they become available. Please note that these policy decisions may change depending on the situation of infection spread.
