The New Year’s concert by the Kyoto Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra was held again this year at the Morita Memorial Hall on Tuesday, January 21st.
The concert is a famous New Year’s event that many people, including local residents, look forward to each year. Among the audience were Dr. Yoshikazu Morita (Chancellor and Chair of the Board of Governors) and his wife, President Takeshi Matsuda, and Mr. Satoshi Kitamura, Principal of the Kyoto Gaidai Nishi High School. The audience sat in awe listening to the beautiful and powerful performance by mezzo-soprano singer Kaori Nishimura.
