An entrance exam preparation session was held on Sunday, September 26th and was conducted in a hybrid style for the first time, for both in-person and online attendees. A total of 218 prospective students from not only Kyoto and Osaka but from across the country participated in the session.
Mr. Seiji Shimamura from Filio, a college preparatory school, was invited to give a two-hour lecture on the kinds of problems that are likely to appear in KUFS’s recommendation-based admission exam (with a focus on English), how to approach long reading comprehension passages, and effective studying methods in the amount of time left until the exam. For online participants, his lecture was live streamed on YouTube. Participants in the in-person lecture were seen paying attention and writing notes down, asking Mr. Shimamura questions after his lecture.
Private consultations were also held for in-person attendees after the lecture. It became a valuable opportunity for university hopefuls to clear up concerns about the entrance exams and student life at KUFS.
