We invited Professor Ekimin Sei from the Institute of Modern Chinese Linguistics, Fukutan University, Shanghai (now Invited Foreign Scholar, Graduate School of Human-Environment Studies, Kyoto University), to give a lecture on the grammatical history of Go language using a research method that fused literature research and diachronic linguistics under the title of "文献考証与歴史比較相結合的呉語語法史研究 (Chinese)” on Tuesday, July 4.
Go language is one of the various dialects of Chinese, and there are many literatures written in Go language. He explained his research method for analyzing the dialect data described in these literatures from multiple perspectives while interweaving his own theory in the lecture. It was very informative and gave us new knowledge. The lecture was fruitful because there was also active dialogue between students and teachers.
