In accordance with the shift of the classification of COVID-19 under the Infectious Diseases Control Law to “Class 5”, which is equivalent to seasonal influenza, from May 8th, 2023, the University's response on and after April 1st, 2023 will be as follows.
Classes
・Face-to-face (f2f) classes in university classrooms will be held in principle.
・Distance learning (on-demand video) will be available only for “Basic Seminar,” “Language and Peace I,” and some data science-related courses which include content that can only be learned through on-demand video type classes.
・As announced in the 2022 Fall Semester guidelines, the “f2f consideration students” measure will be end along with the 2022 Fall Semester.
Others
・All splash prevention stands in classrooms, libraries, cafeterias, etc. and splash prevention curtains in offices and other reception areas will be removed.
・The requirement to wear masks on campus will be lifted.
・If you become infected with COVID-19, it will be treated in the same way as seasonal influenza (suspension of attendance) and must be reported to the Office of Medical Services of the University.
*This response may be reconsidered in the event of further changes in the classification of designated infectious diseases, designation, or other related legislation.
