With profound sorrow, we regret to inform you of the passing of our esteemed Supreme Advisor, Professor Yoshikazu Morita, who previously served as the Chairman of the Board of Governors and Chancellor at Kyoto University of Foreign Studies. Supreme Advisor Morita, who also held the distinguished positions of Honorary Consul of Mexico in Kyoto and Honorary Consul General of Nicaragua in Kyoto, passed away on the 10th of September, 2023.

As we reflect upon the enduring legacy left by him during his tenure, we extend our deepest condolences and offer our prayers.

In accordance with the family’s preferences, the funeral service was held discreetly on the 12th of September, exclusively attended by immediate family members and close relatives. We also intend to host a commemorative “Farewell Gathering” in due course. Detailed information regarding the date, time, and venue will be provided as soon as arrangements are finalized.

We would like to kindly inform you that, in accordance with the wishes of the family and in the spirit of the occasion, expressions of condolences, contributions, offerings, and telegrams of sympathy have been respectfully declined.
