We held a class experience type open campus on Monday, July 17th. This event is a "Course Discovery Program for High School Students" jointly implemented by the University and the NPO LEGIKA. The purpose is to have high school students actually experience the daily life of university students by participating in classes with them.
On the day of the event, 45 high school students participated and spent the day as students of Kyoto University of Foreign Studies, not only participating in classes but also using the student cafeteria. Participants commented such as "There were many things I learned for the first time after actually having the university life," "I was able to see how the teachers and students were doing in class, and I thought it would be nice to have an interactive class rather than passive,” "I thought that I could understand the atmosphere of the university from the open campus, but this time I was able to get to know more senior students and teachers." Before and after the class experience, guidance and review work were carried out, and they learn the secrets of future course selection.
