The Shiga Prefecture’s 26th Friendship Cup Recitation Contest, in which Ms. Miyako Tsuji (lecturer of the Faculty of Foreign Studies’ Department of British and American Studies) served as a judge, was held on Saturday, February 13th.

84 students from 21 schools in Shiga Prefecture recited their assignments in the contest which is comprised of Beginner and Experienced divisions. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, judges were asked to jury the recitations through a video screen in a separate room.
