On Wednesday, December 10, members of the student-run "NINJA Cast" put on a NINJA Christmas Event.
Starting preparations more than two weeks in advance, they created Christmas tree wall art using cut-paper collages. Students passing by also pitched in, and the tree they put together after a week's hard work helped foster a pleasant Christmas atmosphere. Student participants in the "NINJA session" finished things off by decorating the tree with ornaments made by the NINJA Cast.
A temporary cafe was also set up on the event day. Hot drinks made with spices, hot chocolate, and cake were served, brightening up the faces of all in attendance.
In addition, the Language Center planned a Christmas gift-giving session for the event. They gathered more than 300 gifts provided via numerous donations from teaching staff, carefully wrapped each and every thoughtful present, and had NINJA Cast members and teachers dress up as Santa to give them.
The gift-giving portion was kicked off with the glorious jingling of bells, glistening of lights and spectacle of bubbles blown through the air. Both givers and recipients wore big smiles on their faces as they exchanged presents, and students gave cries of excitement as they tore off the wrapping paper to look inside. It made for a lively and enjoyable event, fostering a warm and happy atmosphere in the school.
