On Saturday, October 5th, a celebration was held to mark the 10th anniversary of the establishment of KUFS’s Department of Global Affairs, with lectures, a ceremony, and a convivial party. The occasion was attended by 70 participants, including KUFS alumni, current students, the President, Vice President, the Dean and faculty members of the Department, as well as the Chair of the Alumni Association and Mrs. Smith, wife of the late Professor Craig Smith.
The establishment of the Department of Global Affairs in April 2010 was a breakthrough moment for KUFS at the time. However, since the establishment of the Faculty of Global Engagement in 2018, the Department has stopped recruiting students. All students from the first class to the sixth have already graduated, and most of the current students are scheduled to graduate in academic year 2020.
Panels were displayed in the hallway on the 2nd floor of Building 11, showcasing the many new endeavors achieved by the Department, including lectures, international symposiums, and seminars.
In the social gathering held in a jovial manner, greetings were presented to the crowd from the persons involved.
Lastly, a group photo was taken on the outdoor stage set up on the 1st floor terrace, closing the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Department of Global Affairs.
