The Japanese-language television program "New Perspectives on China and Japan," for which Kyoto University of Foreign Studies (KUFS) assisted with filming, has been aired.

"Moshi Moshi Shanghai: Tour of Japan" is a cultural exchange series hosted by Shanghai TV. Past installments have included visits to universities in Tokyo and Osaka, an elementary school in Shizuoka, and elsewhere for a total of 14 schools around the nation thus far. Their latest feature on KUFS was the first ever for Kyoto.

The contents of the weekly program are used as teaching materials for Japanese departments at more than 10 well-known universities, such as Shanghai International Studies University and Fudan University. The exchange event at KUFS featured in the program provided a splendid opportunity for viewers to see the day-to-day lives of real, young Japanese students and their activities on campus.
