Prizes were awarded to 68 students for their achievement in extensive reading in the English, Spanish, French, and Russian languages.Students received a certificate and a book coupon in recognition of their achievements.


There were 50 students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages. These included 20 students from the Department of British and American Studies; 6 students majoring in other languages, but reading in English. Also, four students from the Department of Hispanic Studies, reading in Spanish, and twelve students from the Department of French Studies, reading in French, were recognized for their achievements. Students reading in Russian joined the award ceremony for the first time this year and 8 winners were awarded.10 students from the Faculty of Global Engagement, and 6 students from the Junior College,the Department of English Studies for Careers were also recognized for their achievements.


The prize for the top reader within the university was taken by HUANG XIAOROU, a student of the Department of Japanese Studies. She read over 2,195,721 words (in English).
