On Tuesday, May 13, former Disney Imagineer Brian Collins held a special lecture in Morita Memorial Hall titled "An Inside Look at Creating the Magic for Disney."

Mr. Collins has been involved in the design of numerous popular attractions at Disney parks around the world, including Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Paris.

During his lecture, Mr. Collins told stories of his various experiences interlaced with humor, discussed his career which was defined by creativity and innovation, and spent a good portion of the time talking about his experiences at Disney.

At one point, Mr. Collins delivered some stirring words directly to the audience: "Are you crazy enough to change the world? I urge you to take on bold and daring ideas as you push your own limits, challenging yourselves to think outside of the box."

He emphasized that every detail, from waiting in line to eating in a restaurant, must be carefully planned to ensure that guests are fully immersed in the world of the story. Whether it be an elaborate set, a music performance, or an installation of some sort, the end goal remains the same: fully immersing guests in the world of Disney magic. This was important to him and his work.

Following the lecture, students formed a long line to ask Mr. Collins questions and take commemorative photos with him.
