The certificate award ceremony for completing the Japanese Studies Center for International Students’ program and the Summer Online Japanese Program was held on Saturday, July 31st, conducted in a hybrid style for the first time, connecting KUFS with students residing in 8 countries online. The ceremony celebrated 4 students from the Japanese Studies Center for International Students and 26 students from the Summer Online Japanese Program for completing their studies.
Due to the pandemic, only 4 students completed their studies in the Japanese Studies Center for International Students this academic year, and the annual short-term program held in the summer was offered online.
Embracing the new normal, the ceremony was held in-person for students of the Japanese Studies Center for International students, while the Summer Online Japanese Program students participated online. Student assistants at KUFS who supported faculty, staff and program participants also attended the ceremony, which soon turned into an opportunity for international exchange.
