On Wednesday, October 30th, an event by the Language Center “Ask the experts – learning by delving into your passion” was held.

In this event, KUFS faculty members shared their own methods of learning and their journey of acquiring new language skills. The guest speaker for this first event was Professor Makoto Kurata of the Department of British and American Studies, who is also the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Studies. He explained his unique English learning method, which he calls the “Killing two birds with one stone method,” on how he approaches English language and composition, tips on memorizing vocabularies, and incorporating films.

The event was highly successful, as the 1st-floor main staircase of Building 4 was filled with over 170 participants, of which there were students as well as local residents, and some were even standing.
