On Sunday, October 12, prominent Portuguese TV station Sociedade Independente de Comunicação (SiC) broadcast a special feature, which included an interview with Professor Pedro Carlos Freitas Aires from the Kyoto University of Foreign Studies (KUFS) Department of Brazilian and Portuguese Studies.

The feature was titled "No país do Sol Nascente: Os Portugueses no Japão e a Expo de Osaka," and provided a look at the roles played by Portuguese people in Japan, and also covered Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan (which concluded on October 13).

During the interview, Mr. Aires talked about Portuguese language education in Japan.
