Please note that as of December 24th, the Alert Level for Kyoto University of Foreign Studies and Kyoto Junior College of Foreign Languages shall change from Level 1 to Level 2.

Currently the five prefectures that make up the Kinki Region are seeing an increase in the number of infections of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), hence the decision taken to change the Alert Level for Kyoto University of Foreign Studies and Kyoto Junior College of Foreign Languages from Level 1 to Level 2. Following this change, the appropriate Action Standards for Alert Level 2 shall apply.

Should you need to make use of a facility on campus, you may make an appointment ahead of time to come to campus under the updated Alert Level.

Depending on the policy of the national government going forward, in addition to social trends – especially regarding how other universities decide to act – please be aware that issues such as how students, classes, and educational and extracurricular activities on campus are to be managed will be subject to change. Be sure to check the KUFS website regularly for updates.
