On Monday, June 1st, Associate Professor David Taylor gave an online lecture “The Guest of the Future: Changing Consumer Behavior and Digital Transformation”.

Hosted by the Japan Travel and Tourism Association and Kyoto University’s Graduate School of Management, the lecture was attended by 170 students, including those from Kyoto University. Regarding the changes made in social infrastructure due to the spread of COVID-19, he emphasized the important roles of digital technology such as IC and ICT, and also shared his view on behavioral change among consumers.

After the lecture, Associate Professor Taylor discussed with students about the rapidly changing lifestyle from hereon, subsequent changes in consumer behavior, and expectable needs and challenges.
