Mark Davidson joined Amway in August 2015 following 28 years as a Foreign Service Officer (career diplomat) with the U.S. Department of State. At Amway Japan, a $1 billion company, he oversees government and corporate affairs, media and public relations, corporate social responsibility, and regulatory policy. Amway, active in 100 markets globally, is the number 1 direct seller in the world. As a diplomat, Mark served four times in Japan, including as U.S. Embassy Minister-Counselor for Public Affairs. He also served in Islamabad, Asuncion, Madrid, and Caracas. In Washington, at the direction of President Obama, he established the interagency Center for Strategic Counterterrorism Communications (CSCC) in 2010. Previously, he also served as Special Advisor for Asian Affairs to the U.S. House of Representatives International Relations Committee. Mark achieved the Senior Foreign Service rank of Minister-Counselor, equivalent to a two-star general in the military. Hereceived the Secretary of State’s Career Achievement Award and the State Department’s Superior Honor Award, among other honors.
