In preparation for the start of the university-based vaccinations against the novel coronavirus in late July, the Kyoto Gaidai Educational Foundation has so far conducted a survey on the willingness to be vaccinated, as well as completing all necessary applications to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare for the implementation of vaccinations at the university, and our plans have been moving forward in this regard.
However, as you may have already seen reported in the media, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology have informed us that there is no prospect of a stable supply of vaccines at this time.
Therefore, we are considering postponing the launch of the vaccination program to late August or early September this year.
Specific details regarding the vaccination schedule and how to make an appointment will be announced on our website and via Kyoto Gaidai Web Campus as soon as the vaccine supply schedule could be confirmed.
For those who wish to be vaccinated at an earlier date, please prioritize your own arrangements for vaccination via your local government or medical institutions, if those options are available for you.
We will work continuously to bring infections under control so that classes and student activities can be held without restrictions as soon as possible. We would like to ask all students, faculty and staff for their cooperation in infection prevention.
