A scholarship award ceremony was held for Koga Salvador Noriaki Jesús, the 6th scholarship recipient of the Kyoto-Mexico Friendship Program, in the 2nd-floor Special Guest Room, Building 1, on Thursday, October 3rd.
The award certificate was presented by Mr. Kunio Nanbu, Chairman of the Kyoto-Mexico Friendship Program, and the certificate of scholarship was handed by Professor Tetsushi Horikawa, Vice Chair of the Board of Governors (Dr. Yoshikazu Morita, Chancellor and Chair of the Board of Governors, was absent due to a prior commitment), as they both gave encouraging remarks. With the certificates in hand, Koga Salvador Noriaki Jesús commented in Japanese with determination, “I would like to give my best in learning Japanese and Japanese culture to tell others how wonderful Japan is.” The ceremony ended with a round of warm applause from the Kyoto-Latin America Cultural Association and the KUFS staffs who participated in the ceremony
