On Wednesday, June 22nd, Mr. Jules Irrmann, Consul-General of France in Kyoto and Director of Institut français du Japon-Kansai, Mr. Airy Quilleré, Attaché de coopération universitaire et de coopération pour le français of the Embassy of France in Japan, Ms. Fanny Delorme, Director of Campus France Japon, and Ms. Miho Oyagi, in charge of the Kansai Office of Campus France Japon, paid a visit to KUFS and met with President Matsuda.
Institut français du Japon-Kansai is a cultural institution of the French government that encourages French language education and cultural exchanges between France and Japan. The delegation held a presentation to current KUFS students planning to study in France as exchange students, holding a Q&A session in French as well. The exchange was a friendly and meaningful one.
Consul-General Irrmann and President Matsuda shared their thoughts on the relationship between France and Japan and the diverseness of each country, saying, “We would like to deepen our understanding of each other not only in terms of linguistic and cultural aspects, but from the perspective of economy and foreign affairs as well.”
