Due to the current global spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), those returning to Japan from Level 1 areas on the MOFA "Overseas Travel Safety Information" need to adhere to the following for two weeks after their return. We ask the same of others who have returned recently as well.
(1)If you have a fever (37.5°C/99.5°F) and respiratory symptoms before and after of returning
Avoid contact with other people, wear a mask, and consult the nearest consultation center for people with potential exposure to COVID-19 by phone. Then, please receive an examination at a health care faculty recommended by the nearest health or consultation center, and please contact our Office of Medical Services with the results.
(2)If you have no symptoms before and after of returning
In the two weeks after returning to Japan, take body temperature twice in the morning and evening. Please be aware of the status of your health, and avoid leaving the house as much as possible.
If you have no symptoms within 2 weeks from the day of return, you will be end of observation
