We welcomed 21 students from 7 countries for The Annual Kyoto Japanese Summer Experience Program from the 1st to the 23rd of July this year. At the end of this program they enjoyed an additional cultural exchange program with Kyoto University of Foreign Studies students and a farewell party.

Arashiyama (including the Sagano Romantic Train and the Hozu River boat ride), an overnight stay and meditation experience at Enryakuji (a UNESCO World Heritage site in which the World Religious Summit Meeting is held every year), the Gion Festival, and Kurama Temple.

"The cultural immersion activities are the best highlight of my time here. The dormitory is also really good. I feel that each activities are purposefully chosen for us to learn why such a unique culture exists and that was what was trying to learn. Enryakuji experience is really the best because it’s not something common for people to join, yet explains to us well as to why Japanese have such a unique culture."
