みなさん、こんにちは！グローバル観光学科２年次生の福井健太郎です。ついに秋学期が終わり、春休みを迎えました。私はCEPがあるので精一杯励みます！みなさんは何をして過ごしますか？今回のブログでは、GT広報隊で遠足に行った模様を紹介します！
今回GT広報隊で遠足に行くことになる前も、ミーティング等でメンバーが集まることはありました。しかし投稿日程について話すだけで互いに交流があまりありませんでした。せっかくのコミュニティで、交流がないのは勿体無いと思い企画しました。メンバーの希望を聞いた結果、遠足先は奈良公園、東大寺となりました。また私たちは観光学科として多くの観光客が来る奈良へ実際に行き、観光地の現状を自分たちの目で確かめるという目的も立てていました。
1月22日に集まることができた1年次生6名、2年次生3名の計9名で遠足に行きました。最初は互いに話したことがあまりなかったので、緊張していました。しかし普段からミーティングで顔を合わせていたので、すぐに打ち解け合うことができました。奈良公園、東大寺に向かう中で、出身地の話や、なぜ観光学科に来たのか、授業の話などさまざまな話をして楽しむことが出来ました！初めて奈良に来たメンバーもいて、たくさん写真を撮っていました。また東大寺の仏像を、目を凝らして見ていて興味津々で楽しんでいました。
みなさんは東大寺とはどういったお寺なのか知っていますか？簡単に東大寺の概要について紹介します！東大寺は、奈良時代に創建されました。聖武天皇が仏教の御加護によって国を平和に治めようと、発願された国分寺を経て、全国の国分寺の中心になり大仏様が本尊の東大寺になりました。大仏殿には「奈良の大仏さん」と親しまれる高さ約15メートルに及ぶとても迫力のある大仏様がお祀りされています。この大仏様は、『華厳経』に説かれる世界を照らす仏で、宇宙の真理を体得された釈迦如来の別名で世界を照らす仏であるそうです。動物も植物も、全てのものが栄えることを願って、大仏殿と共にのべ260万人もの人々の協力によって造られたた伝わっています。この大仏殿は奈良時代に創建された後、時代の流れの中で2度の兵火によって損傷し、現在の建物は江戸時代に再建されたものです。木造建築としては世界最大級の大きさを誇り、その壮大さには圧倒されます。
私は大阪の小学校出身で、遠足で奈良に来たことがありました。当時に比べて、私が気づいたことは、観光客のために案内板を多く設置したり、トイレを設置したり、多言語で発信したりと多くの工夫が見られました。以前に来た時よりも、街全体が活気付いて楽しい街になっていると思いました。年々海外の観光客が訪れるようになり、観光地として発展してきているのだと分かりました。また東大寺の大仏を見た時、その大きさに再び驚きました。
これだけ大きい大仏を建造できたのは、昔の人の知恵や協調性の賜物であると思いました。これからも後世の人に伝え、残していくべきだと考えます。
今回の遠足で奈良へ行って観光する中で、あまり話したことがない人同士話すことができました。実際に観光地に行くことで広報隊の記事を書くネタ探しにもなりました。また遠足を企画し、楽しいコミュニティづくりをし、活気溢れる広報隊活動にしていきたいです！

◎ DGT PR Team Visits Nara!
Hello everyone! My name is Kentaro Fukui, and I am a second-year student in the Department of Global Tourism. Spring break has finally arrived after the fall semester, and I wanted to share a field trip experience that I had with the DGT PR team.
Before the trip, the PR team had been meeting regularly, but our interactions with each other were limited to discussion about schedules. We felt that it would be a missed opportunity not to get to know each other better, so we decided to organize a field trip. we chose to visit Nara Park and Todaiji Temple. As DGT students, we were also eager to see the state of the tourist attractions in Nara, which attracts many visitors.
On January 22nd, nine of us, we went on the trip. Initially, we were nervous as we had limited interaction. However, due to the time spent in previous meetings, we were able to get to know each other quickly. During the trip, we talked about our hometowns, our classes, and many other topics. Some of the team members were visiting Nara for the first time, and they took lots of pictures and showed great interest in the Buddhist statues at Todaiji Temple.
Todaiji Temple is a historic temple established in the Nara period (710-794). It served as the center of all Kokubunji temples in Japan and houses a 15-meter-tall statue of the Great Buddha, also known as "Nara no Daibutsu-san". The statue is enshrined in the Daibutsuden (Great Buddha Hall) and is considered a powerful representation of the Buddha Shakyamuni, who has attained the truth of the universe and illuminates the world. It is said that the Daibutsuden was built with the effort of 2.6 million people, all wishing for the prosperity of all living things. Although it was built in the Nara period, it was damaged by fires and reconstructed in the Edo period (1603-1868). The building is one of the largest wooden structures in the world and is truly awe-inspiring.
I visited Nara on a school field trip when I was in elementary school in Osaka. After that, the city had made efforts to provide better information, facilities, and multilingual support for tourists, making the city livelier and more enjoyable than before.
When I saw the Great Buddha again, I was struck by its size once more. I think it's important to preserve these traditions and pass them down to future generations.
The field trip was to interact with people I hadn't talked to much before. The trip also provided us with the opportunity to gather information and write articles for the PR team. I hope to plan more excursions, build a stronger community, and make the PR team's activities more dynamic.
