皆さん、こんにちは。グローバル観光学科3年次生の倉谷歩佳です。５月を迎え、新しい先輩や後輩、友達と話す機会も増えたのではないでしょうか。今回は、グローバル観光学科1年次生のベトナムからの留学生 リーさんにインタビューしてきました！趣味や日本の好きなところなどたくさん聞いてきましたよ～！

【自己紹介】
初めまして。私はグローバル観光学科1年次生のフェン・ティ・リーです。ベトナムの南のドンナイ県から来ました。ドンナイは有名なサウ・リエン（ドリアン）があります。人によってはめちゃくちゃ好きで、美味しくてたまりませんが、くさくてたまらないという人もいる特別な果物と言われる食べ物です。私は大好きです。私の趣味は旅行することと写真を撮ることです。行ったことがないところに行って、その地方ならではの景色を見たり、特産の料理をたべたり、写真を撮ったりしたいです。去年、日本で岐阜県に行って、雪を見に行きました。はじめて雪を見ましたので、本当に嬉しかったです。これからもみんなと一緒に京都の観光地に行くのを楽しみにしています。よろしくお願いします。

Xin chào mọi người, mình là Huỳnh Ly、là sinh viên năm nhất thuộc ngành Du lịch toàn cầu. Mình đến từ Đồng Nai, tỉnh nằm phía Nam của Việt Nam. Ở Đồng Nai có trái Sầu Riêng rất nổi tiếng. Điểm đặc biệt của loại trái này là có người thấy ‘ngon không thể cưỡng’ nhưng có người lại thấy ‘mùi khó chịu không chịu được’. Còn mình thì theo team ghiền sầu riêng. Sở thích của mình là đi du lịch và chụp ảnh. Mình muốn đến những nơi chưa từng đến để ngắm cảnh , ăn món ăn đặc sản và chụp những bức hình mà chỉ ở nơi đó mới có. Năm ngoái, mình đã cùng bạn đi tới Gifu Nhật Bản để ngắm tuyết. Vì lần đầu tiên được ngắm tuyết nên mình thật sự rất vui. Mình rất mong được cùng mọi người đi tham quan khắp các địa điểm ở Kyoto. Rất vui được làm quen với mọi người.

Q1 休日はどんなことをして過ごしていますか。
→知り合いとコーヒーを飲みに行くなどして楽しんでいます。特に、バイト先のコンビニでお世話になっている75歳のおばあちゃんとは写真を撮る趣味が同じで話が盛り上がります。旅行が好きなので、風景写真などを見せ合っています。

Q2 旅行が趣味とのことですが、日本で行きたい場所はありますか。
→北海道に行きたいです。岐阜県で初めて見た雪に感動したので、雪が多い地域にもう一度行ってみたいです。あとは、富士山の登山にも挑戦したいです。

Q3 日本を留学先にしたきっかけは何ですか。
→日本のおもてなしのサービスが高く評価されていることを知り、日本を選びました。将来、サービス産業の職に就きたいと思っているので、日本でサービスについて学びたいと思っています。大学卒業後は、日本のホテルやレストランの受付で働きたいです。

Q4 地域の特産品にも関心があるとのことですが、日本に来て印象に残った食べ物はありますか。
→お寿司です。私は特にサーモンが好きです。ベトナムではお寿司は高価なもので、普段はあまり食べないからです。あと、抹茶も好きです。以前、東映太秦映画村に行ったとき、抹茶のアイスクリームを食べたことが印象的です。日本の食べ物で苦手なものはまだ出会ってないかもしれません。

―ちなみに、リーさんが好きなサウ・リエン以外におすすめのベトナム料理はありますか。
→ベトナムの料理店で食べるフォーがおすすめです。スパイスが多くて家庭料理では再現が難しいですが、お店で食べるフォーはすごく美味しくて人気があります。

Q5 最後に、これから皆と京都でしたいことを教えてください！
→嵐山の嵯峨野トロッコに乗って、桜や紅葉を楽しみたいです。また、伏見稲荷大社にも行ってみたいです。

お出掛けをしながら写真を撮ることが好きなリーさんは4月に京都に来たばかりだそうです。これから京都の観光地に行って美味しいものを食べ、写真をとって一緒に京都観光を楽しみたいですね！旅行や写真が好きな方は是非話してみては...！？

Hello, everyone. My name is Ayuka Kuratani and I am in my junior year in the Department of Global Tourism. As we welcome in the month of May, you might have more chances to talk with friends, seniors and juniors. For this blog, I interview Ly, who is a student from Vietnam and a first-year student in our department. We talk about her hobbies and favorite places in Japan!

Q1 What do you do in your holidays?
→ I enjoy drinking coffee with friends and acquaintances. For example, I often have a nice chat with a 75 year-old lady who works with me at my part-time job. Our hobbies (travel and taking pictures) are same, so we often talk about our memories of the trips we have taken, and show each other photos of our travels.

Q2 Your hobby is traveling; where do you want to go in Japan?
→ I want to go to Hokkaido. The view of snow in Gifu for my first time so moved me, and now I want to visit a region where they have a lot of snow. In addition, I want to try to climb Mt. Fuji.

Q3 Why did you choose Japan as your destination for studying abroad?
→Because Japanese hospitality is recognized globally. I aim to work in the hospitality industry in the future, so I want to learn about high quality services in Japan. After graduation from university, I want to work in a hotel or restaurant in Japan.

Q4 You are interested in food culture; what is your favorite food in Japan?
→It is sushi. I especially like salmon sushi. In Vietnam, sushi is expensive and people don’t eat that frequently, so I love it!
I like matcha (green tea) too. When I visited Toei Kyoto Studio Park, tasting matcha ice-cream was memorable. I might not find any Japanese foods that I won’t like…

―By the way, what is your recommendation for a Vietnamese dish?
→I recommend you try pho at a Vietnamese restaurant. We can hardly recreate the authentic taste of pho at home because it needs various kinds of spices. Therefore, the meals served at local restaurants are delicious and popular.

Q5 Lastly, please tell me what you want to do with your friends in Kyoto!
→I want to ride the Sagano Romantic Train and see views of cherry blossoms and autumn leaves. Moreover, I want to go to Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine.
Ly loves taking pictures and going out to explore, and has just recently come to Kyoto in this April. I want to enjoy sightseeing in Kyoto with her, as well as eating local delicacies and taking pictures… Please say “hi!” to Ly if you like travel and taking pictures!
