グローバル観光学科4年次生の木村直緒です。今日は私が所属するジェフ・バーグランド先生のゼミでの卒業プロジェクトについてご紹介します。
ジェフ先生のゼミではこれまで非言語コミュニケーションやSDGsに重きを置いて学習を進めてきました。最終的には卒業論文を書くか卒業プロジェクトを制作するかを個人で選択します。テーマは各自自分の興味に応じて幅広く考えることができます。私は卒業プロジェクトを選択し、そのテーマは「コンテンツツーリズムとSDGs」です。授業で様々な観光形態について学ぶ上で、もともと漫画が好きな私が一番興味を持ったものがコンテンツツーリズムだったためこのテーマを選びました。
コンテンツツーリズムと言うと、一般的にはアニメの舞台になった土地を訪れる聖地巡礼を思い浮かべる人が多いのではないでしょうか。しかし今回は「聖地」と呼ばれる場所の中でも直接物語に出てくる場所ではなく、作者の方のゆかりの地に焦点を当てています。具体的には名探偵コナンの原作者、青山剛昌先生の出身地である鳥取県北栄町でプロジェクトを行う予定です。北栄町を選んだ理由は2点あります。1つ目は名探偵コナンの大ファンだからです。実際に北栄町にも何度か訪れたことがあり大好きな町です。2つ目は聖地巡礼が多く取り上げられる中で、作者の方に関連した場所が注目されることが少ないと感じたからです。私のテーマである「コンテンツツーリズムとSDGs」との関連として、17の目標のうち「8.働きがいも経済成長も」と「11.住み続けられるまちづくりを」に当てはまると考えています。それが実際どうなのかということを、学生へのアンケートと現地の方へのインタビューを通して結論づけることを目標に卒業プロジェクトに取り組みます。
Hello everyone! I’m Nao Kimura, a fourth-year student at the Department of Global Tourism Studies and I belong to Prof. Berglund’s seminar group. Today I would like to introduce my graduation project.
We have learned about nonverbal communication and SDGs in our seminar. In the end, we choose to write graduation thesis or create graduation project. We can think of a wide range of themes according to our own interests. I chose a graduation project and its theme is "Contents Tourism and SDGs". I chose this theme because Contents Tourism was the one I was most interested in when I learned about various forms of tourism in class.
When you think of Contents Tourism, you may think to visit real-life locations of movies, dramas and anime. However, this time, I’m focusing on the place related to the author, not the place that directly appears in the story. Specifically, I’m planning to carry out a project in Hokuei Town, Tottori Prefecture, the birthplace of Mr.Gosho Aoyama, the author of Detective Conan. There are two reasons I chose Hokuei Town. The first is because I'm a huge fan of Detective Conan. Actually, I have visited Hokuei Town several times and the town became my favorite place. The second reason is that I felt that places related to the author were rarely noticed while the real-life locations are often picked up as Contents Tourism. I think that SDGs number 8 “Decent work and economic growth ”and number 11 "Sustainable cities and communities” are related to Contents Tourism. I’ll work on the graduation project with the goal of concluding the actual relationship between the two through questionnaires to students and interviews with people living in Hokuei town.
