GTゼミ活動紹介
藤本ゼミ、藤倉ゼミ、村山ゼミ
皆さんこんにちは！グローバル観光学科では、多彩なゼミ活動がおこなわれています。各ゼミからのメッセージを順次、紹介していきますよ。初回は学部長の藤本先生、学科長の藤倉先生、副学科長の村山先生のゼミです。
【藤本ゼミ】
藤本ゼミです。
私たちは、藤本ゼミの第1期生として、従来からの慣習に囚われることなく柔軟に次の4つの活動を行ってきました。春学期は、この中の3つの活動を行いました。まず、藤本先生のご専門であるネットワーク科学についての基本書を輪読し、知見を広げました。次に、京都を知る目的で、西陣エリアを調査しました。３つのグループに分かれて毎週フィールドワークを実施し、西陣の現状や歴史をゼミ内で共有しました。また、並行して、これら2つの活動と個人の興味を鑑みて、卒論に向けて個人でテーマ決めを行いました。秋学期からは、本学の環境問題改善に貢献するために、京都市や企業とタイアップして、本学でのウォーターサーバー設置に向けた話し合いを行っています。そのほかにも、オンラインで授業に参加している留学生による現地の紹介を通して異文化を学びました。時折、藤本先生からの差し入れを通じて教員と学生間のコミュニケーションを深めました。このように、主体性をもって様々なゼミ活動を行い、チームワークで活動する大切さを学びました。
This is the Fujimoto Seminar.
As the first students of the Fujimoto Seminar, we have been flexibly carrying out the following four activities without being bound by conventional practices. In the spring semester, we engaged in three of these activities. First, we read basic books on network science, Professor Fujimoto's specialty, in order to broaden our knowledge. Second, for the purpose of getting to know Kyoto, we investigated the Nishijin area; we divided into three groups and conducted weekly fieldwork to share the current situation and history of Nishijin within the seminar. In parallel, in light of these two activities and our individual interests, we also decided on individual themes for our graduation theses. Since the fall semester, we have been discussing the installation of water servers at our university in a tie-up with Kyoto City and companies in order to contribute to the improvement of environmental issues at our university. In addition to this, students learned about other cultures through guidance by international students participating in classes online.

現在、ひとりが留学中で4人のこぢんまりとしたゼミです。高齢者、障がい者の「旅」についてのビデオを観たり、文献から学んだりしています。旅先の情報の得る方法は？どのような困難があり、どのような解決方法があるのか？実際の体験はどのようなものかを毎回、学んでいます。今は旅行や外出に困難がある人たちに同行するトラベルヘルパーという資格の3級取得に向けて、学んでいます。資格取得を通じて、どのような人たちでも観光・旅行を楽しめるには何が必要なのかを考えています。教室外では、障がい者の方達と共に過ごすことを目的に大学の近くの知的障がい者施設でボランティアを行ない、施設の「休日余暇支援」に参加させていただきました。普段は施設内で仕事をしている方々と外に出かける遠足のようなイベントです。当日はボーリング場でランチを食べてボーリングを楽しみました。事前にアレルギー、食べられないもの、服薬について書いてもらい、案内の書類の漢字にはフリガナをうつことも知りました。担当する利用者の方達の誘導、写真係などをしてストライクが出ると一緒に喜ぶことができました。来年は障がい者施設の畑で野菜や果物を育てる計画もしています。
It is a cozy seminar with four members now, as one is currently studying abroad. We are watching videos and learning from literature about "travel" by the elderly and handicapped. How do they get information about their travels? What difficulties do they face and what are the solutions? Each time we learn what the actual experience is like. The students are currently studying for their Level 3 Travel Helper certification, which is to accompany people who have difficulties in traveling and going out. Outside the classroom, the students volunteered at a facility for the intellectually handicapped near the university, and participated in the facility's "Holiday Leisure Support. The event is like an outing with people who normally work inside the facility. On the day of the event, we enjoyed lunch and bowling at a bowling alley. We asked the participants to write down their allergies, foods they cannot eat, and medications they take beforehand, and we also learned to put furigana on the kanji characters on the information sheet. Next year, we are planning to grow vegetables and fruits in the fields of their facility as well.

こんにちは！村山ゼミです。
私たちは、京都の民俗文化や歴史を専門とされている村山弘太郎先生のご指導のもと、京都をフィールドとした「おもろいこと」を研究する京都研究ゼミです。学生は「京都」をキーワードに各々の関心のあるテーマを自由に設定して、フィールドワークや文献調査をしています。具体的には、「田舎」と「都会」の境界について、「京都」のイメージが生み出すブランド力についてなど、イメージとしての京都に焦点を当てたテーマで研究をしている学生がいます。また、「もうひとつの京都」の取り組みについて、京都の土産についてなど、観光地としての京都を題材に研究を行う学生もいます。週に一度の講義は、他の学生や先生とのディスカッションの場です。学生一人ひとりが、研究の進捗状況や気になる情報をまとめてプレゼンテーションを行います。それに対して全員で議論して意見交換を行います。直接的に自分の研究テーマと関わりの無いプレゼンテーションでも、「京都」という共通のキーワードがあることで、他の学生の研究が自身の新たな学びに繋がるとても良い機会となっています。以上のように村山ゼミは、京都で学びを深める「京都好き」にはうってつけのゼミとなっています！
Hello! This is the Murayama Seminar.
We are the Kyoto Research Seminar, researching "interesting things" in the field of Kyoto under the guidance of Prof. Kotaro Murayama, a specialist in Kyoto's folk culture and history. Students are free to choose their own themes of interest with "Kyoto" as a keyword, and conduct fieldwork and literature research. Specifically, some students focus on the boundary between the "countryside" and the "city," the brand power created by the image of "Kyoto," and other themes that focus on Kyoto as an image. Some students conduct research on Kyoto as a tourist destination. Weekly lectures are opportunities for discussion with other students and the professor. Each student gives a presentation summarizing the progress of his or her research and information of interest. All students discuss and exchange opinions with each other. As described above, the Murayama Seminar is the perfect seminar for "Kyoto lovers" who want to deepen their studies in Kyoto!

皆さん、こんにちは！グローバル観光学科3年次生の倉谷歩佳です。猛暑が続き、コロナウイルス感染者数も増え続けている日々ですが体調第一で夏休みを充実させたいですね。そんな今年の夏休み、3年生の私のまわりでは、就活準備を進める方も多いように感じます。私も少しずつ就職に向けた情報収集等しながら学生生活を楽しみたいなとも思います♡
さて、今日は、観光ビジネスコース野﨑ゼミで参加した東京での企業見学について紹介します。7月上旬、東京都心にある3つの企業を訪問しました。東京駅日本橋口出口に隣接したビルにある日立製作所のイノベーション空間「Lumada Innovation Hub」、丸の内の数多くのビルを所有している「三菱地所本社」、著名人なども宿泊した歴史が語り続けられている「東京ステーションホテル」です。それぞれの社員の方に、その企業が描くビジョンやそれに向けた取り組みについてお話を聞きました。日立製作所・日立システムズと三菱地所ではミーティングスペースで社員の方からのお話を聞くのみならず、質疑応答などで相互にコミュニケーションをとりながら“企業活動”について学びを深めました。また、場所移動の際に、三菱地所の若手社員さんに仕事内容ややりがいについてリアルな話を聞けました。このエクスカーションを通して、企業活動への理解を深めるのみならず、社会に対する視野を広げる機会にもつながりました。
組織として新事業を立ち上げる時、トレンドや社会情勢が著しく変化する世の中で、企業内で受け継がれてきた文化を尊重しつつも、新たな視線で自分達の取り組みを見直すことが必要であると学びました。新しい視点で物事を見つめることは簡単なことではないと思います。しかし、自分一人で考え込まず、他者とのコミュニケーションを通して気づくことや考えの変化があるかもしれません。企画や何か活動に取り組む際は、様々な立場の人と意見を交わすこと、つながりをもち積極的にコミュニケーションをとることが大切であると実感しました。また、企業のエリアマネジメントを通して、地域からより信頼される企業に成長するのではないでしょうか。企業が位置する「場所」の価値を引き出すにあたり民間組織と関りを深める「ソフトの面」を強化していくことが大切だと思います。私たちが訪れた東京都心の高層ビルが立ち並ぶオフィス街エリアと、歴史や文化を特に尊重している京都のある地域、エリアマネジメントに取り組むためにはそれぞれの地域で異なる施策と考え方が必要だと思います。活動フィールドについて分析し理解を深めることが大切であるという学びを、今後のゼミ活動に生かしたいです。
今まで書き綴ったように、このエクスカーションを通して企業活動についての学びを深めることができました。このように学んだことは企業活動に限らず、私たちが社会参画する際にも大切なキーワードであると思います。人との出会いとつながりを大切にし、社会動向に敏感に対応すること、自分の置かれた環境に臨機応変に対応することを今後の就職活動に生かしていけたらいいなと思います。
Hello, everyone! My name is Ayuka Kuratani and I am in my junior year in the Department of Global Tourism. I would like to enjoy my summer vacation to the fullest extent, even with the growing numbers of new cases as the pandemic endures. In what is our junior year I think that some of my fellow students start to look for work. So in my vacation I will gather information on jobs for when I graduate along with enjoying my summer vacation♡ Today, in this blog, I want to introduce an excursion I took to Tokyo and what I saw there.
In early July, I visited three enterprises in central Tokyo: the Lumada Innovation Hub is Hitachi’s innovation space adjacent to Tokyo Station. I also visited the head office of Mitsubishi Real Estate that owns some buildings in the Marunouchi area, and lastly I popped by the Tokyo Station Hotel, which has a long history with a number of famous guests. I listened to each company’s vision for the future.
At Hitachi and Mitsubishi Real Estate, I listened to employee presentations and participated in Q&A sessions. With a better understanding about how they do business, I was able to talk with a new hire at Mitsubishi, and I asked about her job details and what she found rewarding about her work. I think this excursion was an opportunity to broaden my perspective of adult work in society.
In a world where trends and social situations are constantly changing, I learned that it is important to review my own perspective while examining the culture of an enterprise. It is not always easy to see things from a different perspective. However, through communication with others, we may notice something new or change our thinking. I realized that connections and positive communication are important for working with other people.
Moreover, I think that enterprises can implement area management to grow into trusted partners by the community. I think it is important to and deepen involvement with private organizations when extracting value from an “area" where the company is located. The area we visited, an office district with high-rise buildings in the center of Tokyo, compared to Kyoto, where history and culture are particularly respected, require different policies and approaches in each area to engage in area management. I would like to apply what I have learned about the importance of analyzing and deepening understanding of the fields of activity to my future seminar activities.
This summer I was able deepen my understanding of perspectives in business. I believe that what I have learned is important not only for corporate activities but also for active participation in society. I hope to make the most of my future job hunting activities by valuing encounters and connections with people, being sensitive to social trends, and responding flexibly to the environment in which I find myself.

こんにちは！京都外国語大学4回生の富田彩楓です。
今回は皆さんに＃Meriについてご紹介したいと思います！
#Meriは、フィンランド語で「海」という意味を持ち、綺麗な海を守っていきたいという思いが込められています！主にSNSでエシカルの発信と、海洋廃棄物から作るアクセサリーの製作販売を行っています。
◎活動のきっかけ
あやね：アクセサリーを環境に優しい物にして若者に環境問題について身近に感じて欲しいと思ったのがきっかけです。共感してくれたメンバーと実現できたことがとても嬉しく、日々やりがいを感じます。
じゅり：あやねの素敵な案を知り、共に取り組みたいと思い#Meriを立ち上げました！今はアクセサリー製作担当として購入して下さった方から嬉しいお言葉を頂けることにやりがいを感じています♡
さやか：環境保全のために行動したいと思ったのがきっかけです。活動を通して私の周りでも環境について興味を持ってくれる人が増えとても嬉しいです！
けいと：廃棄物を再利用したアクセサリー作成に興味を持ち参加しました！
環境問題に対して意識が高まり、自分にできることを周りの人にも促す事にやりがいを感じています！
ジヒョン：環境問題に興味を持つようになり、#Meriと出会いました。活動をすることで環境に対する良い影響を人に与えられることが嬉しいです!

◎＃Mering
＃Meriが製作している海洋アクセサリーのオリジナルブランドです。シーグラスからアクセサリーを作っています。毎回温かいコメントを貰えることも私たちの喜びの一つです♡ メンバー5人がデザインしたメンバーズリングも製作しています！各メンバーの個性が光るデザイン・ネーミングが自慢の商品です！
◎活動の裏側
今回は特別に活動の裏側についてご紹介しようと思います^ ^ ＃Meriメンバーはチームワークと仲の良さが自慢のグループなので、活動以外にも一緒に遊んでOFFは思いきり楽しんでます♪ でもONモードになると皆集中！このメリハリがつけられるところが個人的に＃Meriメンバーの好きなところの一つです♡

今回は特別に活動の裏側についてご紹介しようと思います^ ^ ＃Meriメンバーはチームワークと仲の良さが自慢のグループなので、活動以外にも一緒に遊んでOFFは思いきり楽しんでます♪ でもONモードになると皆集中！このメリハリがつけられるところが個人的に＃Meriメンバーの好きなところの一つです♡

皆さん、こんにちは。京都外国語大学４年次生の中島蒼太です。
今回は5月24日から6月10日まで活動する環境問題に対する展示会について紹介いたします。
初めに私たちは「ナーシェレ」と言うグループ名で活動をしており 「展示会を通じマイクロプラスチックの再利用法や京丹後の活動の紹介により、京都外国語大学の学生の関心を、議論の場(世論)を変化させるきっかけに繋げる」と言うテーマを軸に活動しています。最近では京都エコロジーセンターの堀様との対談や京都市環境政策局資源循環推進課の藤田様とのミーティングを通じ京都府内におけるマイクロプラスチック問題がどのように取り組まれているのか知識を蓄えています。
これらの情報を元に私たちのメインテーマである学内での展示会について紹介させていただきます。今回の展示会では私たちナーシェレとメリとの合同で展示会を開催します。この展示会は両チームの活動テーマである「海洋廃棄物（マイクロプラスチック・シーグラス）の再利用」を軸として、京都外国語大学の全学生に海洋廃棄物の再利用の現状・魅力を広め、海洋廃棄物の再利用行動を促進し、SDGｓの14項目目「海の豊かさを守ろう」に貢献すると言う目的を元に開催することになりました。
「暮らしと旅の交差点」をコンセプトに京丹後で多様性のある地域づくりに取り組まれている一般社団法人Tangonian代表 長瀬啓二様が共催者になっていただき、共に展示会に出す現物の準備に取り組んでいます。現物としては沖に流されたブイを活用したアート作品や鳴き砂と呼ばれる海砂、プレシャスプラスチック作品である海洋廃棄物を使ったコースターなどを展示する予定です。みなさんは大学の授業やネットで海洋廃棄物に関する環境問題を耳にしたことがあると思います。今回の展示会を通じ、ぜひ皆さんに「自分事」として環境問題に関心を持つ良いきっかけになっていただきたいと言う想いがあります。みなさんが思い描く海洋廃棄物とはまた異なる姿をお見せすることができると思いますのでぜひ展示会にお越しください。そして展示会を通してどう海洋廃棄物に関するイメージを持つことが出来たのか教えていただきたいです。

みなさんこんにちは！国際貢献学部グローバル観光学科の横田藍子です。今回は、2月11日に開催された「NPO法人観光力推進ネットワーク・関西学生連絡協議会学生研究発表会」について報告したいと思います。そこではゼミで1年間を通して研究した内容を発表させていただきました。
私は原先生ゼミの宗教文化観光チームで研究を進めてまいりました。ちなみに、今年はゼミの中で、グランピングチーム、サステナブルチーム、ダークツーリズムチーム、スピリチュアルチームの4チームに分類されています。私は3人のメンバーで「チームスピスピ」と名付け、京都を中心とした関西圏の神社仏閣を調査し、神社仏閣を持続可能な存在にするために貢献することを目的としてアンケート調査、ヒアリング調査、現地調査を実施してきました。持続可能な未来のために、若年層向けに発信するにはということを考え、SNSの開設や、動画作成をして親しみやすく工夫をしたりしました。
今回の発表はオンラインで行われ、他大学を含む7大学16チームの発表が行われました。京都外国語大学からは、4チームが出場し、原先生ゼミからは私たちチームスピスピと、サステナブルチームが参加しました。他大学の素晴らしい発表を聞き、私たちも緊張の中、原先生にブラッシュアップしていただきながら完成したパワーポイントの発表を行いました。最後に賞の発表がありましたが、私たちのチームは最優秀賞の「NGO理事長賞」を頂くことができました。そして、サステナブルチームも最優秀賞である「日本観光研究学会 支部長賞」を頂くことができました。
私たちが研究を行ってきたことがこのように形に残すことができたのは、とても嬉しいことですし、私たちの発表を聞き、多くの若者にも発信することができて、達成感を感じました。ゼミの最終発表は終わりましたが、これからも発信し続けるためにSNSは続けていきたいと考えています。みなさんも、少しでも興味があれば、私たちの研究について覗いてみてはいかがでしょうか。

Hello everyone! I'm Aiko Yokota from the Department of Global Tourism in the Faculty of Global Engagement. This time, I would like to report on the NPO Tourism Promotion Network Kansai Student Liaison Council Student Research Presentations that were held on February 11. I presented what I had researched throughout the year in my seminar.
I have been working on my research as a member of the religion, culture, and tourism team in Prof. Hara's seminar. This year the seminar is divided into four teams: the Glamping Team, the Sustainable Team, the Dark Tourism Team, and the Spirituality Team. The three members of the team, which I named Team SpiSpi, have been surveying shrines and temples in Kyoto and other parts of the Kansai region, conducting questionnaires, interviews, and field surveys with the aim of contributing to making shrines and temples more sustainable. We have also considered how we can communicate with the younger generation to ensure a sustainable future, and we have created a social networking service and made videos.
Presentations were made online by 16 teams from 7 universities. Four teams from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies participated in the competition, and from Prof. Hara's seminar, Team SpiSpi and the Sustainability Team participated in the competition. We were nervous after listening to the excellent presentations from the other universities, but with the help of Prof. Hara, we were able to brush up our PowerPoint presentations. At the end of the program, the awards were announced, and our team was awarded the NPO President's Award for the best presentation. The Sustainability Team also received a top prize, the Japan Society for Tourism Research Branch Chief Award.
We were very happy that our research work could be presented in this form, and we felt a sense of accomplishment that through our presentation, our research could be heard and disseminated to many young people. Although the final presentation of the seminar is over, we would like to continue using social networks to keep transmitting this information.
